Bruce was born and raised in Trail, B.C. and was educated at the University of British Columbia. He has practiced in the West Kootenay with the same firm since being called to the bar in 1983. He was made a Queen Counsel in 2006 and received the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Attorney General for British Columbia in 2013 for meritorious services to the Legal Profession. He is a Life Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia and served as its President in 2012. The first member of the Kootenay Bar to do so in the 130 year history of the Law Society.

Preferred areas of practice: General Practitioner with concentration on Real Estate and Corporate & Commercial Solicitor's work and Personal Injury & Civil Litigation Barristers work.

Isaac Ferbey was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2008, after graduating from the University of Victoria in 2007 and completing his articles with Marvin Stern in Surrey. After nearly ten years of private practice at all levels of trial court in the lower mainland of B.C., Isaac joined Thompson, LeRose & Brown as associate counsel in March 2018.

Preferred area of practice:  Criminal law. He is a federally appointed agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada in the Kootenay region, and he also defends clients against motor vehicle act and criminal code charges ranging from impaired driving and assault, to the most serious charges including murder.

Born and raised in Castlegar, B.C. Ryan attended Stanley Humphries Secondary School before obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2006 (Philosophy). In 2010, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at UBC with a Juris Doctor degree. He was called to the B.C. Bar on August 2011 and is practicing with Thompson, LeRose & Brown in Trail and Castlegar.

Preferred areas of practice:  Civil Litigation, Creditors' Remedies / Collections and Foreclosure and Insolvency Law.

David Meagher was called to the bar of Manitoba in 2013 after graduating from the University of Manitoba, Robson Hall and completing his articles as a prosecutor with the provincial crown in Winnipeg. In 2017, he moved to the Kootenays and was called to the bar in British Columbia. In 2018, after working for a year as a crown prosecutor in Nelson, moved into private practice with Thompson LeRose & Brown.

Jeff was born and raised in the Kootenays and is happy to return home to begin his career. Jeff both summered and completed articles with Thompson, LeRose & Brown.  Prior to joining Thompson, LeRose & Brown, Jeff worked in the Credit Union industry where he was involved in residential and agricultural lending as well as internal loan auditing.  Jeff was called to the Bar in May 2015 and works in both the Castlegar and Trail offices.

Preferred area of Practice:  Wills and Estates, Commercial Mortgages, Corporate and Commercial Law, Real Estate and Property Law.

Mitchel is an Articled Student in the Trail office of Thompson, LeRose & Brown.  He was born and raised in Trail, British Columbia and joined the firm as a Summer Student in 2017.  Prior to joining the firm, Mitchel attended Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law where he did extensive legal aid and pro bono work.  Mitchel expects to be called to the British Columbia bar June 2019.
